I should probably be posting a much more wow picture of Koh Samui thus far but somehow I really like this one haha. I'm strange I know. I've been on the island for 2 weeks now, here for an internship and I'm very thankful to be doing this. Perhaps to you it seems more like a holiday than work yknow, but it really is both. I remember Sylvia telling me how working here doesn't feel that much like work because of how beautiful this place is. We work hard but we also get to experience life here. Main takeaway for me is getting to meet people. Over here I'm meeting host and just interacting with people in general. I have to say that this island is beautiful but I'm more touched by how wonderful people here are. I've already had many many experiences with amazing people I'm meeting and I love that so much. Hopefully I get to do enough portraits and write stories about them haha. Even if I don't and only manage a few, it's better than none :-) 

Being here has challenged me alot, taught me much. I've never felt so challenged before to be honest, made me how sheltered I was in Singapore and how much more I could be doing. Never scarred so much and fell down so hard- literally. I'm coming home with battle scars hahaha. Sylvia if you're reading this, thank you for everything:')

Feeling even smaller in tiny Singapore. But may I always remember the grandeur of nature, of how big and great God's creation is. It is always inspiring, always reminding me that there's so much to life and the world that we do not know of. Being in nature somehow also makes me realise what's really important to me in this lifetime. I'm not trying to sound like I'm preaching or already figured out what it is and can be. But seriously as much as I still don't, I'll always try and hope to believe in myself- in the things I value and not let this toxic world undermine it.

Taking a little trip around Singapore with this one. One of gems I've got to know over my university days. We were just walking around aimlessly and ended up having fun buying sandals and finding umbrella trees haha. It's always the little things that makes you happy isn't it. Now that I've somewhat graduated life has been strange haha. I can't quite explain it but I'm adapting and hopefully figure it out soon. Have a safe and wacky trip Jing <3

Finally got my portfolio site up thanks to final year hahaha. I've been bugged so much about this (thank you friends hahah) My friends are always telling how I need to compile my works into one site and not always just link my blog. I liked linking my blog for some reason because I type here and talk about mundane day to day life I guess. But anyways I did get a cargocollective going finally. It's so strange because I had this tiny voice in my head about how my FYP is going to be lauched on the FB page soon and it has a portfolio link but an empty website hahaha. It won't be very nice to have an empty site so on that very day I uploaded whatever I could. True enough my work was up on FB today hahaha. Thank God. I've some works up there, it kinda looks strange having all the thumbnails together and looking like that but oh wells :-) I hope to upload more in the future if I can hahah it was quite fun. Oh and the images above are from my large format which I love so much. Hahah they make me so excited and I hope to make so many more with this medium in the future, hopefully.

I've been better :-) My FYP idea is finally kinda set and now I'm down to the most exciting part of it which is to make it. I can't waaaait to settle the logistics to the wood sculpture but ugh this anxiety is killing me. I just know that as I move along there'll come many more unforseen "problems" that I didn't plan for but it's ok, I believe in pain in the process. Let the adventure begin :-)

I really want to thank everyone who has stuck by me and helped me in any way. To classmates who have always been there for me Clara YunJing and people who understand my heart so much. We won a sword

Went to the Pasar Malam yesterday because there was one right at Jurong Point. We were too full then to eat anything (although we did consciously try to not eat so much during dinner hahaha) We just over estimate our appetites cause we wanna eat so much but in reality we eat less than a full meal. Moderation eating is good lol. Decided to go play some games since it's been years since I did that. The games have leveled up slightly to Taiwan night market standards but I just wanted to play the ones I had as a kid. Hahaha yknow the fishing one with the spinning pool, yup we played that. 

Thanks for such a simply fun few hours after school. Even though FYP and final year can be a real pain, at least we have friends to be thankful for :') This week I have loads of people to be thankful for and I'll do that in a seperate post when I have pictures of my patterns banner. It's finally up in ADM lobby with light shining through yayyyyyyyy. I'll thank everyone properly cause I really want to but thanks to everyone who has helped me in one way or another <3

Did a small online interview with this company regarding travel photography and I found thisss. How do their feathers keep them warm when they're on ice water when I'm just freezing while looking at them. 

Would it be easier if I just did photographic prints. I've no idea why but I started my final year not thinking about prints or images at all

Hahahaha one of the best dressed friends I have??? Oh and Yun Jing but she wasn't here last Thursday. Like ugh how cute is this. Clara's Nike shirt and shorts and ugh everything. I sound pretty obsessed right now but I really love how she dresses it's entertaining and special. Oh and that's Rach in the midst of a conversation with Jaysee and I creeped up behind her to have her ponytails done lol. She looks happy but no she was actually like Viv what are you doing again?!?!?!?

One bone winglets don't make sense

Mornings and lunch with Yun Jing :-) I had a productive Tuesday because I had to get out of the house to assist Yun Jing hahaha. It helps me because I have a reason to wake up at 8 and start my day like a normal person should. Recently I've trying to find ways to feel productive because FYP makes me sad. Like do a little something everyday, ponder about FYP a little, cook or chores a little. It's like if I can't help myself, might as well help someone else lol. 

Had a wonderful lunch because we found this nice smelling place. Well the place smelt better than it actually was but it was not bad cause I wasn't expecting anything in Tai Seng to be honest. Best part was, we talked so much for hours??? I think hours, yes. Time literally flew right by and it felt so wonderful having no flow to the things we were talking about. Just jumping around different stages of our lives and be like 'OMG ME TOOO' was super fun. I'm so gonna miss eating long lunches and classmates like these. Don't disappear on me guysssss, don't let the workforce suck us in :-(

I'm late I'm late for the weekly post again. This is really hard to up keep cause my schedule is just always all over the place and I don't specifically feel like updating every Sunday. But I'll try. I had lots of photos here and there this week but because I'm rushing to bed I shall just summarize the two best days I guess. Last week felt like a good week, I met up with Chiewy and like See Ting. Just got to catch up spontaneously with people and that was really nice since I just feel demoralised all the time. Year 4 woes really, it's not that great to be a Year 4 although I do have to admit I was looking forward to FYP. Sounded kinda fun I guess getting to do whatever I want and getting support from your profs and what not. But well, it isn't whatever I thought it would be.

Yayyyyyyy I've never had the post lady ring my door bell so many times in a month. I absolutely love it seriously!!!!! Thanks for all the parcels and gift, I now have never ending supply of my favourite Apfel Tea. 

That first parcel was from Sophie! She was very fair and gave me 2 boxes of my fav tea and another 2 boxes of Pete's favourite. Oh and also her Ez-link card and ten bucks to buy something for myself hahahah. How cute and random though. Thanks for everything and the note too! The second parcel is from Selina and there is the draw string bag that I really wanted designed by students from Hdm, the exchange school I was in :-) Andddd the last package from Shermain! Whom I've never met in real life before but we talked because she's a junior that needed help with exchange stuff. And she bought me a pack of Christmas tea!

Can't believe it's 2016 already wow. I started this year wanting to document and remember the things I do more consciously. It's crazy how time just passes by so quickly that you don't even remember the things you do sometimes. I saw this girl on Youtube that does this 365 days of thanksgiving and I was thinking what a wonderful diary it would be look back on :-)

Just what exactly am I supposed to do as an artist. Am I even an artist or simply pretending to be one

Christmas day this year and every year is always spent with my family. I'm usually very excited to upload all these Christmas photos but not this year hahaha. Simply because for some reason I didn't take many and they are all over the place as usual. I was cooking up a storm!!! With Pete and my siblings of course. We had pumpkin soup, roasted chicken, shepherd's pie, salted egg fries and yup many more. So I guess screen grabs off the videos I took would be the best way to sum up my Christmas this year. This is rather late but hope everyone had a great one as it's the most wonderful time of the year!!!!!!!!!!!!!
